General Things You Should Know about IELTS test & its dates
- According to IDP IELTS test dates, you can expect 4 tests in a month.
- The test dates generally fall on 1 Thursday and 3 Saturdays of the month.
- In India, there are 82 centers in 75 cities of the country.
- In India, 48 fixed dates are available for IELTS. However, the General training test is organized on only 24 dates.

- The paper-based test results come after 13 days.

How to Select IELTS test date in India

Step 3:
Select test, test module, test city and click on book now. The test section includes Computer-delivered IELTS, Computer-delivered IELTS for UKVI, Paper-based IELTS, Paper-based IELTS for UKVI, and Life Skills. And according to the test, you get the test Module.
Step 4:
Note down available slots and dates for upcoming months. You can click on the (>) to see next month slots and (<) for previous month slots.

Can we reschedule the IELTS exam date?
Yes, you can reschedule your IELTS exam. You need to request to change your test date. However, the rescheduling of the test depends on how close to the test day it is made. If you want to change the test date only a few days before, it’ll be treated as a cancellation.
Moreover, you must know for rescheduling, you’ll need to select another preferred test date, available within the 3 months from original test date. If the preferred test date falls more than three months after your original test date, your test transfer date will be treated as a cancellation.
You must know you can change IELTS only once from the same booking.
How to change IELTS test date
To change your IELTS test date, you’ll need to visit your test center and contact the authoritative person. If you reschedule or cancel your application:
- More than five (5) weeks before the test date, you will receive a refund minus an administration charge.
- Within five (5) weeks of the test date, you will be charged the full fee unless you have a serious medical reason.
- If you visit the center with a medical certificate within five (5) days of the test date, you will receive a refund minus the local administrative cost.
The test center person will reschedule your test because of some unseen circumstances.
