Undergraduate entry runs through UCAS and typically looks for around 60–70% at Class XII, with subject prerequisites where the course requires them — mathematics for engineering, for instance.

What is Liverpool like as a place to study?

Urban, well-connected and comparatively affordable, with a large student population shared between two universities and a cultural life that is disproportionate to the city’s size. Liverpool is generally safe by large-UK-city standards, with the usual qualifications that apply to any large city. There is an established South Asian student community and the practical support structures that follow from that.

Part-time work exists in retail, hospitality and campus roles, and it is competitive. Degree-level students are generally permitted term-time work of up to 20 hours a week, with more outside term, but the exact condition is stated on your own visa. Do not build a funding plan that depends on it.

Is Liverpool John Moores the right choice for you?

It is, if you are taking an applied subject with a clear occupational destination, you value a strong student experience and a lower cost base over brand signalling, and your plan is UK or regional employment rather than a return to a market that reads global rankings.
