What is in the database

A further 198 awards are open to students in more than one country. Eight records are marked discontinued and kept for reference rather than removed, so a scholarship you were tracking does not simply vanish.

By degree level
Level Awards
Masters 804
PhD 504
Bachelors 211
MBA 127

A single scholarship can apply to more than one level, so these figures overlap.

By funding type
Type Awards
Partial award 483
Fully funded 470
Carries a living stipend 179
Tuition only 95

Funding types are recorded per award as listed by the provider.

Browse by destination and university

Each destination page lists that country's awards in full, with the official source for every one. University pages do the same for a single institution.

How we check these scholarships

Most scholarship lists on the internet are copied from other scholarship lists. Deadlines drift, awards close, and pages move, and nobody goes back to look. We check ours against the source.

Every record is checked against the awarding body's own page. The check confirms three things: that the link still resolves, that the page still names the award, and that the stated deadline can be read from the source. Every scholarship carries the date it last passed that check.

In the run dated 8 July 2026, of 1,237 open records:

Result Records What it means
Confirmed at source 1,036 All three checks passed against the provider's own page.
Not yet confirmed 183 The check could not reach or read the provider's page. Most of these providers restrict outside access, or publish a page that renders only in a browser. The record is re-checked on the next run.
Corrected 18 The check found a moved link or a stale deadline. These were investigated and fixed.

"Not yet confirmed" does not mean a scholarship is closed or invalid. It means our last check could not confirm it against the source. We would rather tell you that than quietly present an unchecked record as a verified one.

Scholarships FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is the Scholarship Finder free?
Yes. It is free to use and requires no account and no email address.
2. How often is the database re-checked?
Records are re-checked in batches. Each scholarship displays the date it was last confirmed, so you can judge for yourself how current it is rather than trusting an undated claim.
3. What does "not yet confirmed" mean?
Our check could not confirm that record against the provider's own page on the last run, most often because the provider's website restricts outside access. It is not a judgement about the scholarship. The record is re-checked on the next run.
4. Do you guarantee the information is correct?
No. Scholarship terms and deadlines are set by the awarding body and can change at any time. Every record links to the official page, and you should confirm the details there before you apply. Our checks tell you when we last saw the award on that page, which is a claim we can stand behind.
5. Which degree levels are covered?
Masters, PhD, Bachelors and MBA. Masters has the deepest coverage at 809 awards, followed by PhD at 511.
6. Can Galvanize help me apply?
Yes. Galvanize provides end-to-end admissions support, including profile building, university shortlisting, application strategy and visa guidance. See our admissions services.
