Scholarship Verification Ledger

How we verify

• Official sources only. Every entry links to the university, government or foundation that actually awards the scholarship — its own official page, never a third-party listing or aggregator.
• Confirmed at the official source. Each official URL is fetched and checked for reachability, for the scholarship's name appearing on the page, and for deadline status. Runs are dated, so every claim is time-stamped. This confirms the source is live — not your eligibility or the award amount.
• Only what the source states. Fields come straight from the official page. Where the source doesn't state something — a score cutoff, an award amount — we leave it blank and flag it for review rather than fill the gap with a guess.
• Recurring deadlines aren't "expired." Many scholarships reopen every year or accept applications year-round (1,167 of the active set). We classify these as recurring/evergreen, not dead.
• Discontinued ≠ deleted. When a program ends we archive it with a flag and point it at the provider's current funding page — so a stale listing you find elsewhere is easy to recognise.

What the numbers mean

• Confirmed at official source (1,036). The official page was reachable on the run date, the scholarship's name matched, and the deadline was classified. This confirms the source is live and current — it is not a check of your eligibility or the award amount; always confirm those on the official page.
• Under review (201). The official page is live, but our source check couldn't confirm it on the run date — usually the provider's site restricts outside access, or the scholarship's name is written differently there. We deliberately keep these in an integrity queue as not-yet-confirmed, rather than risk showing you unverified details. Under review means not-yet-confirmed, not expired or invalid.
• Confirmed dead links (0). No active entry resolves to a removed or 404 page.
• Editorially reviewed (rolling out). Selected high-priority scholarships are being read against the official source by our Head of Admissions, Dr. Jayanthy Ramakrishnan. Records that carry an "Editorially reviewed" badge have had this human review; until then, an entry has the source-confirmation check only.
• Archived (2). Discontinued programs, listed below in full.
